This topic explores the specification of standards of user interface
style.
A
Generic UI Style Guide
The generic style guide is based on best commercial practices as described
by a pattern language of UI design. The guide will include discussion
of task granularity in user interface, transactions versus units-of-work,
menu design, other task access mechanisms and navigation, window titling,
composition of patterns and good layout practice, and use of fonts and
color. The guide will include both application style and web style variants.

Corporate
Style Guides
This discussion of style guide specialization focuses on branding issues,
such as specifying corporate graphics and colors, in the context of
a best-practices UI style guide. The discussion will also consider domain-specific
specializations such as task access mechanisms (different domains have
different pragmatics).
