Architectural Partition

An architectural partition is a subdivision of a system representing some commonality of function, content, or placement with the architecture.

In object-technology, associations are usually thought of as the most generic kind of relationship. In psychology and in semantic model generally, semantic associations are often treated as a specialized kind of relationship on a peer level with other kinds of relationships such as a whole-part.

Example: User Interface Partition

The User Interface partition is an architectural division whose content includes those parts of the system concerned with providing domain-appropriate and task-mediated presentation of domain entities providing a language of system interaction for the user.
